Russia and South Africa committed to resolving crises and conflicts in Africa and the Middle East, according to a discussion between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Anna Thandi Moraka on the sidelines of the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum in Sochi.
"Moscow and Pretoria's unwavering commitment to deepening political dialogue and coordinating actions in the UN, BRICS, the Group of Twenty and other multilateral formats, including in the interests of a speedy resolution of crises and conflicts in Africa and the Middle East, was also confirmed," the Russian Foreign Ministry stated, following the diplomats' meeting.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed issues of further deepening Russian-South African cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific and technical fields.
