Russia and CAR Will Build Education Center, Report Says

The CAR education minister expressed his hope that the ties between the two countries in education would develop further. Russia contributed much to the teaching of the Russian language as well as mathematics, physics and biology in CAR, according to the official.

First Deputy Education Minister of Russia Alexander Bugayev and State Minister of National Education of the CAR Aurelien Simplice Zingas signed a memorandum on the construction of an education center in the CAR capital, Bangui, on the sidelines of the first Russia-Africa Ministerial Conference, the news outlet reported.

"We sincerely thank the Russian government not only for organizing the first Ministerial Conference of the Russia-Africa [Partnership] Forum, but also for expressing the desire to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the field of education," the republic's minister said.

Zingas also handed Bugayev documents on the topographical survey of the area for future use in construction, and invited him to lay the foundation stone of the education center.

"This wonderful project to create such a wonderful center on the territory of our friendly state will be implemented at the highest level. We will make every effort to achieve this," Bugayev noted.
