Central African Republic (CAR) Education Minister Aurelien Simplice Zingas on Saturday thanked Russia for its efforts to restore peace and security in his home country.
"We are grateful for everything that Russia is doing so that peace is restored in our country," Zingas said at the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum.
The top CAR diplomat expressed his hope that the ties between the two countries in education would develop further.
"Our relations have deep roots and traditions. Our friendship counts many decades," he said.
Russia contributed much to the teaching of the Russian language as well as mathematics, physics and biology in CAR, Zingas also said, adding, however, that there was not enough cooperation in technical education.
