US Elections Change Nothing for Russia Regardless of Outcome, Says Medvedev

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - With the US just days away from the November 5 presidential election, in which the Democratic nominee, incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump, are vying for the country's highest office, debates have raged over who is the best of the two, including on foreign policy.

For Russia, the US elections will not change anything since the candidates' positions fully reflect the bipartisan consensus on the need for Russia's defeat, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday.

"For Russia, the elections will not change anything, since the candidates' positions fully reflect the bipartisan consensus on the need to defeat our country," Medvedev said.

He called Kamala Harris "stupid, inexperienced, controllable," alleging that her ministers and assistants will rule, plus indirectly the Obama family.
