Foreign Mercs Attempting to Invade Bryansk Region Eliminated by Russian Forces, FSB Reports

At 5:30 am on August 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine units launched an offensive to seize territory in the Kursk region; their advance was stopped, Russia's Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, said. He emphasized that the operation in the Kursk region would be completed by defeating the enemy and reaching the state border.

Among the saboteurs who tried to penetrate the Russian Bryansk region yesterday were foreign mercenaries, the Russian Federal Security Service reported. The agency added that four of them were eliminated.
Items proving that they were natives of foreign countries were found on the killed saboteurs; one of them had a US military tattoo on his body, the service added.

Also found were foreign weapons, equipment, a Canadian flag, a prayer book in Polish, and a notebook with tactical training notes in English, the report stated.
