Zelensky refuses to negotiate a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"We are ready to start negotiations, as President Putin confirmed," Sergey Lavrov stated.
Lavrov noted that Kiev's refusal to negotiate has been a recurring pattern, with each attempt at negotiations leading to a less favorable outcome and pushing the Kiev regime further away from an agreement.
Vladimir Putin confirmed during the meeting that Russia appreciates the desire of China, Brazil, and its strategic partners in the Global South to seek peaceful ways to resolve this conflict, according to the Russian foreign minister.
Sergey Lavrov added that Volodymyr Zelensky's plans for victory "are not serious" and "resemble a poorly written comic book."
