The BRICS Summit in Kazan showed that Russia is not isolated and is developing despite sanctions pressure, Abdoulaye Kourouma, Member of the National Assembly of Guinea, told Sputnik.
"This summit is better organized than the US elections. The whole world is here. I am surprised; there are thousands of journalists here… It is not so, Russia is not isolated," Abdoulaye Kourouma stated.
Abdoulaye Kourouma added that the sanctions had become a good opportunity for Russia's development. He remarked that he had been in Russia ten years ago, visiting Moscow, and since then a lot had changed and the country had developed significantly.
"Kazan is more beautiful than Paris. I have been there; I have traveled around both Kazan and Paris. I can guarantee this," Kourouma noted.
The BRICS Summit took place in the Russian city of Kazan from October 22 to 24.
