Accusations against Pyongyang about sending North Korean troops to Russia are "dirty maneuvers" by the United States and its allies to mask their own crimes and prolong the conflict in Ukraine, Il Ha Kim, First Secretary of North Korea's Mission to the UN, said.
"With regard to the accusations against the DPRK, they are nothing but dirty maneuvers of the US and its followers to disguise their crimes, to instigate the protraction of Ukraine crisis by supplying Ukraine with all kinds of lethal weapons prohibited by international law, including cluster bombs," the diplomat said at an informal UN Security Council meeting.
Russia's legislators on Thursday unanimously ratified a defense treaty with North Korea, which includes "mutual support" should one of the parties be attacked. It will now go to the upper house of parliament, the Federation Council, for approval.
