Russian Ambassador to Brazil Alexey Labetsky, commenting on the results of the BRICS Summit in the Russian city of Kazan, told Sputnik that the West, speaking about the isolation of Russia, is engaged in disinformation.

"The 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, which is being held for the first time in an expanded format, has once again clearly shown the entire world that there can be no talk of any isolation of Russia," he said.

The BRICS Summit in Kazan was held on October 22-24.

"The leaders of a large number of countries, official representatives of international organizations came to the current meeting. All this clearly speaks of the enormous importance of the association. It is obvious that the West, when talking about Russia's isolation... is engaged in misinforming the global community," Labetsky said.
