Sputnik Africa is live as Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding a press conference after a BRICS Plus outreach meeting.
As Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted, media from unfriendly countries, among others, are accredited for the Russian president's final press conference as well as for all summit events.
After interacting with the press, Putin will continue the marathon of bilateral meetings that have been ongoing since the first day of Kazan's summit. Besides the negotiations on the official schedule, the Russian leader made efforts to interact separately with almost all the participating heads of state.
Other high-level events held in Kazan include the informal lunch, two main BRICS working sessions (in a narrow and expanded format), as well as a ceremonial reception hosted by the Russian president. The agreed positions of the ten member countries were documented in the Kazan BRICS Declaration, which was adopted and published on Wednesday.
