MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Earlier this week, the rebel paramilitary Rapid Support Forces said that they shot down a Sudanese Il-76 cargo plane in North Darfur province, the crew of which allegedly included Russian citizens.

Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have formed a commission to establish the country of origin of the downed Il-76 and the identities of the crew members, adviser to RSF commander, Al-Basha Tabeek, told Sputnik.

"A commission was formed to identify the plane and establish which country it belongs to and who was on board," Tabeek said.

The RSF found the black boxes of the downed Il-76, the adviser told Sputnik on Tuesday. The data from the black boxes of the Il-76 shot down in Sudan will be made public after decoding, he added.
