Angolan President Joao Lourenco called for a peaceful resolution to the conflicts in the Middle East and emphasized the need for an independent Palestinian state during his annual state of the nation address to the Angolan Parliament in Luanda.
He expressed concern over the ongoing civilian casualties in the Palestinian West Bank, Gaza Strip and Lebanon, and urged the international community to unite to stop the violence and promote peace.
Stressing the importance of respecting international principles like the UN Charter, non-aggression, and state sovereignty, Lourenco called for the end of the occupation of Palestinian territories and the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state.
He also highlighted the global repercussions of these conflicts and the need for immediate action to protect innocent lives.
