Syria is in Serious Talks to Join BRICS, Ambassador Says

Syria wants to join BRICS and has already submitted an application for membership, Syrian Ambassador to Russia Bashar Jaafari said on the sidelines of the forum "North Caucasus: New Geostrategic Opportunities.

"We are very interested in joining BRICS. Syria is still in serious talks to join BRICS," the ambassador said.
