All the world's countries should stand against hegemony and power politics as well as implement the democratization of international relations, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday.

“We should advocate an equal and orderly multipolar world and see that all countries, regardless of their size, have their own place and role in the multipolar system. We should practice true multilateralism, oppose hegemonism and power politics, and make international relations more democratic,” Wang said at the general debate of the UNGA, according to the statement published by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The members of the international community should uphold the principle of common consultations, exchange experience, as well as contribute to development of global governance in more fair and wise directions, Wang added.
“In the face of unilateral, bullying acts such as sanctions and blockade, China firmly supports countries in defending their legitimate rights, upholding the equity and openness of the international system, making global development more coordinated and beneficial for all, and jointly opposing technology blockade and rejecting decoupling or severing supply chains,” the diplomat added.

Suppressing and deterring other countries will not bring any internal problems to resolution, Wang said, adding that each people should preserve its right to pursue a “better life.”
“China is deeply aware that Asia needs stability and development and opposes division and conflict. As an important origin of human civilization and a key engine of global growth, Asia has the wisdom and capability to stabilize the situation through regional cooperation and handle differences properly through dialogue and consultation,” the politician said.
Beijing is firmly against the interference of countries outside the region and aims to resist attempts by any force to bring trouble and confrontation, Wang added.
