The Russian Ministry of Energy sees prospects for the country's companies to participate in the construction of solar and wind power plants in Senegal, said Russian Minister of Energy Sergey Tsivilev following a working meeting with Senegalese Minister of Energy, Petroleum, and Mining Birame Souleye Diop.
"Considering the interest of the Senegalese government in the development of renewable energy sources, we see prospects for the participation of Russian companies in the construction of solar power plants and wind power plants on the territory of the republic," Sergey Tsivilev stated.
The ministers also discussed collaboration in multilateral frameworks, in particular within the International Renewable Energy Agency. The meeting also explored partnership opportunities in the hydropower sector.
