Equatorial Guinea's President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo will lead a delegation on a visit to Moscow from September 25 to 28. The visit will coincide with the Russian Energy Week.
Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea, Antonio Oburu Ondo, is expected to participate in discussions at the event, and Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo may address the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian Federal Assembly, on Thursday, according to the State Duma vice speaker.
In September, the Russian humanitarian agency Rossotrudnichestvo signed an agreement to establish a "Russian House" in Equatorial Guinea as part of a broader effort to strengthen ties between the two countries. Additionally, in April, Nadezhda Shkolkina, head of the Russian State Duma's Friendship Group with Equatorial Guinea, met with the country's ambassador, Luciano Nkogo Ndong Ayekaba, to discuss the possibility of a new fisheries cooperation agreement.
