Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Mirjana Spoljaric, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), for a wide-ranging exchange on key aspects of the ICRC's work in Russia.
"Mirjana Spoljaric's attention was drawn to the numerous facts of Ukraine's violation of the norms of international humanitarian law, including in the context of the treatment of prisoners of war and civilians," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The meeting also discussed key issues in humanitarian response in the Middle East, the Horn of Africa and the Sahel, Europe, and Asia, the statement added.
