President Ibrahim Traore noted that the establishment of the agency will guarantee Burkina Faso's energy independence and the industrialization of the country, as well as facilitate access to electricity, the report said on Wednesday.
In June, representatives of Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom held a meeting in Ouagadougou with Burkina Faso's Energy Minister Yacouba Zabre Gouba, during which they discussed the construction of a nuclear power plant in the country.
