Armed Clashes in Sudan
On 15 April 2023, armed clashes between the Rapid Support Forces and the regular army in the Sudanese capital Khartoum were reported. Later, the fighting between the military forces spread to other Sudanese regions.

Swiss-brokered peace negotiations on the Sudan conflict will be held in Geneva in mid-August. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated the US invited both sides to join ceasefire talks, co-hosted by Saudi Arabia and including the African Union, Egypt, the UAE, and the UN.

The Sudanese Fourth Infantry Division thwarted an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the Qali area of Al-Tadamun locality, according to the army.
The division destroyed RSF combat vehicles, killed dozens of fighters, and captured others.
In a video released by the army, the liberated local community expresses gratitude and praises the soldiers.
On April 15, 2023, clashes broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF. The parties to the conflict have since introduced several temporary nationwide ceasefires, but none have helped settle the conflict.
