DPR's prime minister said the amount of damage caused is increasing every day, adding that it is not possible to determine the exact figure due to the difficulty of access to all territories and facilities of the Russian republic.
“Records have been kept from the very beginning for all cities, not only Avdeyevka [also known as Avdiivka]. Records have been kept for Mariupol, Donetsk, Volnovakha, and Gorlovka [also known as Horlivka] - such records are kept for all our major inhabited localities, and, unfortunately, this is already trillions of rubles. Today we see this is a huge figure,” Solntsev said.
As an example, the DPR prime minister cited the situation in the recently liberated Avdeyevka. There are still areas in the city that are unsafe for civil work, including the coke plant.
“We have a huge amount of work ahead of us for the next decade to restore, probably, the entire Donbas,” Solntsev said.
Earlier, at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Russian Investigative Committee Deputy Chairman Alexander Fedorov said the damage caused by the Kiev regime in 2022 and 2023 to real estate and infrastructure in the DPR, the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), and three border areas exceeded 734 billion rubles ($8.4 billion).
