Russia and Africa Can Collaborate on ‘Amazing’ Initiatives, Nigerian Creative Director Says

Having many talented people and using creative technology, Russia and Africa can create “amazing” projects together, Tadongyi Edward Fyada, creative director at Nigeria’s Greysoft Technologies, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of SPIEF 2024.

“It is true that we have some things in common in the sense that we are both able to develop and innovate on our own without having to depend on other people. We just have to discover what we have inside. […] The amazing thing that Russia is doing right now [is that it came] up with creative technology and creative innovations […] to solve their own problems by themselves. And I believe that if Africa comes up to do that, we will be able to create something really amazing together,” she said.

Speaking of promoting African talents, Fyada encouraged young people to stop “looking down” on themselves and work harder to improve their skills.

“What we can do is, first of all, try to develop ourselves in terms of knowledge and improve on our skills, and then also go further to be creative, because sometimes we look down on ourselves and feel like we are not enough. But the truth is, we're enough... We have so much to offer the world. We have so much to offer from Africa,” she reckoned.

Russia, in turn, can help African youth do so by providing media equipment and technology, the creative director noted.
Wrapping up the interview, Fyada provided Sputnik Africa with her impressions from SPIEF 2024. She called it “fantastic,” adding that the forum gave her an opportunity to see how “we can unite and collaborate as people and [as] different countries with brilliant ideas.”
