Together with Russia, Zimbabwe is charting a path to a shared prosperous future, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa said after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Thursday.
“I arrived today in St. Petersburg for the 27th SPIEF. Had the honor of discussing Zimbabwe-Russia economic and diplomatic ties with President Putin,” President Mnangagwa said in a message posted on his official social media account X.
He added that this prestigious event provides a platform for international economic dialogue and interaction.
In addition to the main topics of discussion with Vladimir Putin, including the strengthening of economic and diplomatic ties between Zimbabwe and Russia, Mnangagwa said he and his Russian counterpart explored opportunities for mutual growth and cooperation.
"Together, we aim for mutual growth and cooperation," he stated.
