Bahraini Minister Says Manama Sees Moscow as Partner in Ensuring Stability in Middle East

MANAMA (Sputnik) - Bahrain is hosting the 33rd summit of the Arab League in Manama on Thursday. It is the second Arab League summit since Arab leaders met for an extraordinary summit in Riyadh in November to discuss the Israel-Hamas war.

Bahrain and Russia are united by a partnership aimed at ensuring the development and stability in the region, Bahraini Information Minister Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi told Sputnik.
"The Kingdom [of Bahrain] and Russia are partners in development and working towards stability in the Middle East region. They are united by strong cooperation in all areas," the minister said.
He also described the relations between Russia and Bahrain as "exceptional," especially in the cultural area.
Arab League Summit to Take Place in Bahrain on Thursday With Main Focus on Palestine
The Bahraini official recalled that, being in charge of culture and mass media, he had met with Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova during her visit to Manama in February. That visit demonstrated the depth of the bilateral relations, he added.
