President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló will come to Russia and take part in the Victory Day parade on May 9, Guinea-Bissau's embassy in Moscow told Russian media.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that more than 9,000 people and 75 units of military equipment, as well as aviation, will take part in the parade on Red Square in Moscow.
In total, the parades will be held in 28 cities of Russia, the total number of participants is more than 50,000 people. Approximately 1,000 pieces of weapons and military equipment are expected to be involved.
In February, Malam Sambu, Guinea-Bissau's Minister of Natural Resources, paid a working visit to Moscow. Sambu met with the Russian President's Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov to discuss expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries, including promoting investment partnership.
