Burkina Faso's Superior Council of Communication on Thursday suspended the Voice of America and BBC broadcasts for two weeks.
The suspension was ordered following the broadcast of information on a Human Rights Watch report accusing the Burkinabe army of abuses against civilians.
Rebroadcasts were immediately halted, and the programs of the two international radio stations were suspended, as well as access to the websites and digital platforms of the BBC, VOA, and Human Rights Watch.
The American media says it is maintaining its coverage in Burkina Faso and intends to continue covering activities in the country.
Earlier, the country suspended the activities of several French media outlets.

LCI;
France24;
Radio France Internationale;
Le Monde.
The country's president of the transition told Sputnik Africa that his country would "not tolerate the media coming to try to intoxicate our populations and try to manipulate them, to make subversive propaganda."
