At the Algerian agro-industrial exhibition Djazagro, which kicked off on Monday, for the first time a Russian national exhibition was opened under the brand "Made in Russia," presenting high-quality and natural products of reliable Russian producers, the Russian Export Center (REC) said.
"At the exhibition site, Russian companies will hold talks with potential partners from North Africa and discuss opportunities for cooperation," the statement said.
The "Made in Russia" stand, organized by the REC, features 17 Russian companies that have brought products to the exhibition from industries where Russia has long established itself as one of the best suppliers.
Thus, Russian producers present cereals, pulses and grains (millet, lentils, chickpeas, buckwheat, wheat, corn and many others), vegetable oil and cakes, as well as mixed pet food.

Visitors to the "Made in Russia" stand will also be able to sample Russian cheeses, milk powder and milk chocolate, as well as red salmon caviar - one of the world's oldest delicacies, of which Russia is one of the top ten exporters in the world.
North Africa and Algeria in particular are priority destinations for Russian companies. In 2023, Russia increased its agricultural exports to Algeria by 20%. Wheat has become the main product supplied, but Russian producers are ready to actively increase sales of other products in demand in the region.
The Djazagro exhibition runs from April 22 to 25 and according to the organizers brings together 23,000 professionals for eight sectors of the exhibition.
