The House of Africa opened in Moscow on Thursday, a center that aims to become Russia's central platform for diplomatic, business and cultural activities aimed at developing Russian-African relations, a Sputnik Africa correspondent reported.
Konstantin Klimenko, chairman of the board of trustees of the Africa House, handed over the key to the center's director, Auguste Ludovic Aimontche.
"This is a significant event for us in the cooperation between Russia and African countries. It is of great importance. It is an exchange platform, a communication platform, which will allow any African to have any information that concerns them about Russia, and which will also allow any Russian to have any information that concerns them about the African continent," Aimontche said.
The director added that the House will become a venue for round tables, forums and large meetings engaging delegations from African countries. Aimontche also outlined that Russian businessmen interested in the continent will be able to get the necessary information here.

"It is up to us to make it easier for any Russian investor; it is up to us to make it easier for any Russian who is interested in the culture of Africa, who is interested in the climate of Africa. It's up to us to do all this work, and that's why this house exists from today," he emphasized.
