Sisi, Russian Intelligence Chief Discuss Ways to Achieve Stability in Middle East, Office Says

CAIRO (Sputnik) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi had received Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergey Naryshkin and discussed ways to achieve stability in the Middle East, the office of the Egyptian leader said on Tuesday.

"President Abdel Fattah Sisi received today [Tuesday] the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, and his accompanying delegation," the statement said.
The parties discussed developments in the region during the meeting, paying special attention to the ways to achieve stability in the Middle East in light of the crisis in the Gaza Strip and regional tensions in the region, the statement read.
