Earlier this week, the French radio station Europe 1 reported that France intends to invite Russia to the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy on June 6.
In late December, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he was not ruling out the possibility of inviting Russian President Vladimir Putin to the celebration of the Normandy landing if the situation in Ukraine changes.
"No. There have been no invitations so far. We do not know what these reports are based on, whether it is official information, or it is some kind of rumors, or it is fake news, but we have not received anything official about this," Peskov told reporters.
