The flight tests of Russia's small- and heavy-lift Angara carrier rockets are expected to be completed in 2025, the deputy head of the department responsible for computational studies and flight missions at the Salyut design bureau, Denis Berg, said on Tuesday.
"It is currently planned to complete the flight tests of small- and heavy-lift types in 2025," Berg said.
The launch infrastructure for Angara rockets has been under construction at the cosmodrome since 2018. Between November and December 2023, test launches using a test vehicle equipped with all launching systems took place there.
Since 2014, six Angara launches - three of light rockets and three of heavy ones - have taken place from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Russia's Arkhangelsk Region. A total of 16 Soyuz-2.1 rockets have been launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome since 2016.
