What is International Lunar Station Project?

In March 2021, the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos and China signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation on the creation of the International Scientific Lunar Station.
During the lunar program, the Chang'e-6, Chang'e-7 and Chang'e-8 automatic stations will be sent to Earth's natural satellite.
The purpose of the first lunar missions will be to test key technologies that will allow the construction of a set of experimental and research facilities that can be operated remotely.
The first mission will go to the Moon in 2026, and the project is expected to be completed by 2028. In early March, Yury Borisov, head of Roscosmos, said that Russia and China were considering the possibility of deploying a nuclear power plant to the Moon and installing it on its surface in 2033-2035.
