The Russian National Guard, along with the armed forces and employees of the FSB border unit, is repelling an attack of Ukrainian sabotage groups in the Kursk Region, the guard said on Thursday.
"Units of the Russian National Guard are participating in repelling an attack by enemy sabotage group near the village of Tetkino in the Kursk Region. Russian Guard members are fighting together with military personnel of the armed forces and employees of the border department of the FSB of Russia," the National Guard wrote on Telegram.
Russia's defense ministry said on Tuesday that the Russian military, together with units of the FSB border service, foiled an attempt by Ukraine to infiltrate Russia's border territory in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
The ministry specified at the time that four attacks by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups trying to break into the border territory near Tetkino were repulsed.
