Oil Refinery in Russia's Ryazan Region Attacked by UAV, Three Casualties Reported, Governor States

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On Wednesday, two crude oil processing tanks covering an area of 175 square meters caught fire at an oil refinery in the Russian city of Ryazan after an attack by four Ukrainian drones, regional governor Pavel Malkov stated.

A drone has attacked an oil refinery in Russia's Ryazan Region, preliminary information indicates that there are casualties, regional governor Pavel Malkov said on Wednesday.

"A Ryazan oil refinery was attacked by a UAV. A fire broke out as a result. According to preliminary information, there are casualties," Malkov wrote on Telegram.

Later, a representative of emergency services told Sputnik that three people were injured.
The fire has been extinguished, Malkov said. Russian health agency Rospotrebnadzor specialists did not detect pollutants in the air after the fire, the Russian media reported.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian Security Service has claimed responsibility for the attack on the oil refineries, the Ukrinform news agency reported, citing sources.
