Russia offered Nigeria cooperation in exploration of oil and gas fields, Russia's Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov said at a meeting with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas) of Nigeria, Ekperikpe Ekpo.
"Russian companies are ready to offer their services in the search and exploration of hydrocarbon deposits, marine seismic exploration in Nigeria," he noted.
The conversation took place within the framework of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Algeria.
The parties also discussed cooperation on the creation of a network of gas filling stations, noting that they are interested in developing the energy dialogue in all areas, including in terms of geological work. They also held talks on cooperation in the format of the GECF and OPEC+.
