Burkina Faso's army has killed terrorists in the north of the country who were planning to attack a military convoy, the Burkina Faso Information Agency (AIB) reported.
"Burkina Faso's army neutralized dozens of terrorists in the north-central region on Tuesday. The criminals were planning to attack a convoy on National Road 3," AIB reported, citing its sources in the security forces.
The news agency also reported that on February 13, a group of terrorists was spotted near the village of Dibga, about twenty kilometers from the town of Pissila in Sanmatenga Province. The terrorist group was moving toward another group of terrorists positioned under trees. The militants were identified and destroyed by UAVs. The terrorists' base was then destroyed by Burkina Faso Army attack helicopters. Footage of the destruction of the militants was published by the RTB (Public Radio and Television Corporation of Burkina Faso).
In addition, the news agency noted that on February 12, Burkina Faso's armed forces also used drones to identify and destroy terrorists near the village of Yaongo, 30 kilometers from the town of Boulsa in Namentenga Province.
