The document says that the Russian government will cooperate with the government of Nicaragua in countering “challenges and threats to law and order and public safety,” as well as “in the fight against illicit trafficking and use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.”
The relevant agreement comes into force on the date of receipt of the notification confirming the fulfillment by the parties of the necessary internal procedures.
The deal is signed for ten years, after which it is automatically extended for the same period.
