At least 113 people were killed, and 300 others were injured in attacks by unknown gunmen on several villages in the central Nigerian state of Plateau, the head of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Monday Kassah, said on Monday.
"The attacks were well coordinated; not fewer than 20 different communities were attacked by the bandits… As I am talking to you, we have recovered 113 dead bodies from those communities. We have recovered more than 300 injured," Kassah was quoted as saying by Nigerian news portal Daily Trust.
The report added that attacks in Plateau began on Sunday. About 16 people were killed then.
