One person was killed and two more were injured as a result of a night attack by Ukraine on the city of Feodosia in Crimea, the region’s head, Sergey Aksyonov, said on Tuesday.
"Unfortunately, as a result of an enemy attack in Feodosia, one person was killed and two were injured. Six buildings were damaged, mostly with broken windows. Six people were evacuated to temporary accommodation centers, the remaining residents were placed with relatives and friends," Aksyonov told reporters.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian navy landing ship Novocherkassk had been damaged during the Ukrainian attack on the port in Feodosia.
"Overnight, during the repulse of a strike by the Ukrainian armed forces with the use of guided missiles at the Feodosia base, the Novocherkassk large landing ship was damaged. During the air defense battle, two enemy Su-24 tactical aircraft that launched the guided missiles, were destroyed in the area of Zhovten [78 miles northeast of Mykolaiv]," the ministry said.
After the attack, the transport infrastructure in Feodosia is operating as normal, Aksyonov said, adding that there are no restrictions on passenger transportation.
