Speaking on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the Ethiopian Air Force on Saturday, the Prime Minister highlighted the country's progress in developing infrastructure, modernizing equipment, achieving technological self-sufficiency and cultivating a skilled and competent workforce as tangible results of the reform initiatives.
In a message posted on social media on Saturday, the Prime Minister highlighted the joint military air show between the Ethiopian and UAE air forces as a testament to the potential achievements through joint efforts.
"A military air show jointly presented by the air forces of Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates on the occasion showed the level we can reach if we work together. We will continue to lead Ethiopia to prosperity in all sectors," Ahmed said.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force, Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa, underscored the importance of military cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the bond of brotherhood and mutual trust between the two nations.
According to Merdasa, the culminating ceremony of the 88th anniversary held in Bishoftu showcased the multifaceted cooperation between Ethiopia and the UAE in various military fields.
Furthermore, General Merdasa revealed that the ongoing technological advancements within the Air Force signifies the attainability of the vision to position the Ethiopian Air Force as a pre-eminent institution in Africa by the year 2030.
