Over 570 people, including dual nationals, can leave the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to the list published by the administration of the Rafah checkpoint.
The list includes 571 people, with foreign citizens and Palestinians with dual citizenship among them. The majority of people are US citizens, and it also lists citizens of the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Mexico.
According to updated data by the checkpoint, at least 621 people will be allowed to cross the border into Egypt.
Wael Abu Omar, the spokesman for the checkpoint from the Palestinian side, told Sputnik on Thursday that over 400 people left the Gaza Strip through the border crossing.
On October 7, the Hamas movement launched rocket attacks on Israeli positions and infiltrated the border areas from the Gaza Strip. In response, Tel Aviv launched massive retaliatory strikes on Gaza, later declaring a state of war and implementing a total blockade of the Strip, cutting off water, food, electricity, medicine and fuel.
After two weeks of unprecedented daily bombardment by the IDF and Israel's blockade of basic supplies, the Gaza Strip, home to 2.4 million people, did not begin to receive shipments of humanitarian aid through the Rafah checkpoint on the border with Egypt until October 21.
On Wednesday, the Rafah border crossing was opened in order to allow wounded Palestinians, some foreigners and dual nationals to leave the conflict zone.
