Russian air defense systems have intercepted a Ukrainian aircraft-type drone over the Bryansk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"This morning, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on targets on the territory of Russia was stopped.️ Air defense forces on duty intercepted a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Bryansk Region," the ministry said in a statement.
On Tuesday, Governor of the Russian Kursk Region Roman Starovoit said that a Ukrainian drone has dropped explosives on a power substation in Russia's Kursk Region, leaving seven settlements without power, adding that no one was injured.
As for other thwarted Ukrainian drone attacks, on Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that four UAVs over the Black Sea and the territory of Crimea were neutralized.
Ukraine has been conducting drone attacks on the Russian territory almost daily since the start of its counteroffensive in early June. The United Nations said in August, following a botched drone strike on Moscow, that it did not want to see any targeting of civilian infrastructure.
