Turkey Expects Swift Resolution on Russia's Grain Supplies to Africa, Source Says

ANKARA, (Sputnik) - On Monday, the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase the volume of grain supplies to African countries. Earlier, Erdogan said that Ankara is ready to assist Russia in processing grain for further deliveries to needy countries and hopes to take joint steps to supply food to Africa.

Turkey expects that technical discussions on the delivery of one million tonnes of Russian grain to Africa will be completed in the near future, a source in Turkey's technical delegation has told Sputnik.
"We hope that all technical discussions will be completed in the near future, and we will move to the practical realization of the project," the source said.
