Russian Forces Strike Ukrainian Storage Facilities for Storm Shadow Missiles, Depleted Uranium Ammo

Earlier this month, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during a meeting with senior defense officials that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have failed to achieve any of their goals in three months of the counteroffensive and had lost 7,600 pieces of military equipment.

The Russian Armed Forces carried out a group strike at night on storage sites for Storm Shadow cruise missiles and depleted uranium ammunition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Monday.

"Tonight [on Sunday night], the Russian Armed Forces carried out a group strike with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons, as well as attack unmanned aerial vehicles, on the storage sites of the Kiev regime with Storm Shadow cruise missiles, ammunition with depleted uranium, as well as centers for radio reconnaissance and training of sabotage groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the military department said.

The goal of the strike was achieved, the ministry said, adding that all objects were hit.
According to the ministry, Ukraine has lost up to 255 military in the Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours. Over the given period, the Russian Armed Forces have repelled six attacks by Ukrainian military in the Donetsk direction and two attacks in the Krasnyi Lyman direction, the ministry added.
"Enemy losses [in the Donetsk direction] amounted to up to 255 military personnel, three armored combat vehicles and seven vehicles," the statement read.

The Russian Defense Ministry further elaborated that Ukraine has also lost over 180 soldiers both killed and injured in the South Donetsk direction in the past 24 hours. At the same time, in the Kherson direction, Ukraine has lost more than 80 troops, five vehicles, as well as two D-30 howitzers.
Over the past 24 hours, air defense systems of the Russian Aerospace Forces have destroyed five HIMARS MLRS shells and 27 drones, the ministry said.
"Air defense intercepted five HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, 27 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed," the Russian military department said.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 472 aircraft, 249 helicopters, 6,865 unmanned aerial vehicles, 437 anti-aircraft missile systems, 11,931 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,151 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 6,426 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 13,121 special military vehicles.
On September 5, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu stated that Ukrainian troops have lost more than 66,000 military and 7,600 weapons since the beginning of the counteroffensive, which was launched in early June, and failed to achieve any of the goals in three months.
