The exchange of media content, including packages of programs, series and films, is possible within the framework of cooperation with African countries, said Yulia Golubeva, Deputy General Director of Gazprom-Media Holding.
On Tuesday at the International Multimedia Press Center of the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group, which includes Sputnik, a round table conducted as a video bridge was held with the participation of Russia, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Namibia, Kenya and Zimbabwe. The theme of the roundtable was "Media Development Strategies in the XXI Century: Challenges and Prospects".

"What can be said about cooperation with African countries? We can go several ways. First off, we are talking about the exchange of information, and materials. Depending on your interests, we can create a package of programs, series, and films that could be distributed in your countries [...] If you are ready to share your content, we can create a theme-based channel on the RUTUBE video platform and publish theme-based materials there," Golubeva told the roundtable.

The expert also spoke about the possibility of creating joint projects and investments of African countries in Russian initiatives on their territory.

"If you want, we're willing to hold video conferences and share experiences. We also do co-productions and joint projects to create content. We are talking about a kind of joint investment, an investment on your part. If the decision is made to shoot in a country, for example one of your countries, we will need your support in terms of personnel, and it would be very interesting and probably mutually beneficial to move forward in that way. Maybe you have some initiatives, we are open to your suggestions," Golubeva stressed.
