Russian Humanitarian Agency to Launch Educational Events for Russian Language Teachers Abroad

Earlier this month, Deputy Minister in Russia's Ministry of Education Denis Gribov told media that the ministry plans to open education centers in Russian in 28 African countries this year alongside 14 Russian pedagogical universities.

Russian humanitarian agency Rossotrudnichestvo is launching a series of methodical events for teachers of the Russian language abroad. The course in the distance format is titled "Organization of courses teaching of Russian as a foreign language abroad" and runs from June 24, 2023.
According to a press release, participation in the events will allow teachers of the Russian language abroad to improve their professional skills at any time convenient for them.
The events will include the following programs: "Specifics of the organization of course training: short-term and intensive courses", "Intensive methods of teaching the Russian language", "Educational and methodological literature for courses and individual training", and "Use of electronic educational resources in course training".
African Students Test Russian Language Skills on Nuclear Icebreaker
Training materials will be available to participants of methodological events offline on the project page, while installation webinars will be held in an online format using ZOOM.
The training program will take place in three streams:
1.
from 24.06.2023 to 01.07.2023;
2.
from 09.09.2023 to 16.09.2023;
3.
from 21.10.2023 to 28.10.2023.
Upon completion, participants will receive certificates.
Earlier this year, Amon Murvira, Zimbabwe's minister of higher education, innovation, science, and technology development, stated that the nation will establish a Russian language school. Zimbabwe is proud of its advancements in educational and scientific collaboration with Russia, he also said.
