"This is your first state visit to Russia. Tomorrow, your talks with Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin will take place in the Kremlin. An important step will be the signing of the Declaration on In-depth Strategic Partnership. It will mark the transition of Russian-Algerian cooperation to a new qualitative level," Mishustin told the Algerian leader Abdelmadjid Tebboune during a meeting.
"I confirm our interest in expanding the intergovernmental dialogue," he noted.
"We welcome Algeria's interest in expanding cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union. [...] I am sure that all the five [member] countries will welcome the development of cooperation with Algeria in a wide range of areas," he outlined.
"We are actively cooperating in all areas, primarily in energy, industry and agriculture. We propose to launch new joint projects more actively – in the digital sphere and high technologies, telecommunications and transport infrastructure," he said at the meeting with Algerian head of state.
"Despite the illegal sanctions imposed against Russia by unfriendly states, in January-April the volume of mutual trade increased by 65% and exceeded five billion rubles," he said. However, as Mishustin noted, this is not the limit.
"I am convinced that by joint efforts we will be able to increase them many times," the prime minister said.
