Despite Western-imposed sanctions, Russia continues to deliver agricultural products, fertilizers, and energy to African nations, Director of the Africa Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anatoly Bashkin noted in January.
Russia increased its exports to Africa by 15% in 2024, with the total volume reaching $24.3 billion compared to $21.2 billion in the previous year, according to data from the Russian Customs Service.
Overall, Russian exports amounted to $433.9 billion, an increase of 2% compared to $425.3 billion in 2023.
