Somalia and South Sudan to Source Flour and Oil From Russia's Voronezh Region

The Food Africa 2024 international exhibition took place in Cairo on December 3-5. The annual event is designed to attract wholesalers, distributors, retailers and other industry professionals for a three-day showcase that aims to meet the diverse needs of buyers and importers, as well as serve new markets in Africa.
Somalia and South Sudan are exploring purchases of flour and sunflower oil produced in Russia's Voronezh region, according to Tiser Al-Nasser, a logistics manager.
Speaking to Sputnik on the sidelines of the recent Food Africa 2024 forum in Cairo, Egypt, the businessman also noted the establishment of contacts between Russian companies and Kenyan coffee suppliers interested in exporting to Russia.
