Lavrov to Participate in International Symposium 'Inventing the Future' in November

On July 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing the National Russia Center to preserve the legacy of RUSSIA EXPO exhibition and demonstrate the country’s achievements on an ongoing basis.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will participate in the International Science Fiction Symposium "Inventing the Future" at the Russia National Centre from November 4 to 6. He will deliver a speech during the panel discussion "Future of Multipolar World."
"In his speech, Sergey Lavrov plans to touch upon the issues of modeling the contours of the future, based on trends in global development, multipolarity as the norm of international life, and will also suggest thinking and discussing the topic of the role of Russia as one of the most important poles of the emerging world order," said Maria Zakharova, the director of the information and press department of the Russian foreign ministry.
Scientists, futurologists, science fiction writers, businessmen, and government officials from more than 40 countries, including Austria, Argentina, India, China, and Saudi Arabia, will participate in the event. More than 60 events will be held during the symposium; they are related to four areas: the future of man, the future of technology, the future of a multipolar world, and the future of civilization.
