MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the law that ratifies the agreement with China on the joint creation of the International Scientific Lunar Station, according to the relevant document published on the official legal information portal on Wednesday.
In March, the Russian government submitted to the parliament's lower house a bill to ratify the agreement with China.
In the beginning of May, Russian state space corporation Roscosmos head Yuri Borisov confirmed to Sputnik that the development of a nuclear power plant, which Russia plans to send to the Moon in 2033-2035 for a joint scientific lunar station with China, has already begun.
The station will include research, power, launch and landing, orbital, experimental modules, a command center, a transmitting satellite, a telecommunications station, and modules for technology verification and observation.
